Our QUBU modular storage cube system is designed to be customized to your needs. The 15” cube is available as an open flip through type or more enclosed box type and designed specifically to hold vinyl record albums, Wider Cabinet Cubes are available in widths 30” and 45” and make a great base for the 15” cubes. All our vinyl storage cubes use side panels with a circle cutout. This circle serves a couple purposes: Functionally the circle is a handle to lift the crate Aesthetically the circle makes the visual connection to vinyl records, record sleeves and vintage speaker cabinets. And we think they look great, especially against the multi ply birch plywood lines.
Modular Storage Unit 15"
Materials and Construction:
We use only premium domestically sourced 3/4” walnut veneered birch with a solid, void free birch core. Doors and panels are 1/2" MDF board, colored with Osmo black. The pieces are precision CNC cut. It is made with traditional glued mortise and tenon construction for strength and durabiliy and no hardware.
Finish:
We use Osmo wood wax on all of our pieces. Osmo Is the original hardwax oil from Germany, comprised of natural waxes (carnuba and candelila) and natural oils (sunflower, linseed, thistle and soy). It is an environmentally friendly, safe and natural finishing product. The oils in Osmo penetrate deep into the wood giving a rich finish, highlighting the natural grain and the hardwaxes form a long lasting protective barrier.
